    Hi,

I'm using Outlook Mail with an Outlook account on the Lumia 950 XL.

Despite changing the settings to download the whole e-mail and images, non of the images are actually visible, they are all x-ed out. Any of you have experienced similar issues and if so, how have you managed to solve it?

PS images show up for the same e-mail just fine in outlook.com and in Outlook 2016.

    Thx for your help!

Same here. There is usually an option in the email that I can select to display pictures. If that doesn't work right, I just wait until I can bring it up on my laptop.

You should check out Dan's write-up on the main WindowsCentral page: "How to display full message & images in Outlook Mail for the Lumia 950, 950 XL, & Windows 10 Mobile". This resolved the issue for me.

As I've said, already changed those settings. The whole e-mail is downloaded, but no images are displayed. They are all marked with a red x. 😩

there are 5 threads about this already.....nobody can fix this....short of a hard reset, which most of us are not going to do. MS needs to get their ACT together ASAP

This is probably one of the bugs in 10586.0 that got fixed in 10586.11, so hopefully in the next update, the 950 and 950 XL will be apart of it for this fix and others.

Wait what? I was going to hard reset sometime this weekend to fix the issue since it's been strongly recommended by those who've done it.

Correct. I believe this. Not an issue on my 1520 with 10586.11 but WAS an issue on my 950 XL. A hard reset fixed it

My wife and I both had this issue. When we first fired up the phones, we both restored from a previous backup. Her from 8.1 and me from Win 10 Insider Preview. What worked for us was a backup, hard reset, restore and that fixed the problem. The backup/restore part saved quite a bit of time as opposed to re-building from scratch.

I did a hard reset and it worked. HTML formatting not perfect for some emails. Hopefully new update will help. I migrated from Lumia 1020 (8.1). I wonder if the transfer from backup is the culprit.

No its not the culprit. the temp directory that images for email is download was not build on some phones that is why when you do a hard reset it works. I think the imaging process that was used to image so phone had some problems. I think the insider build dropping next week should fix the problem. If not I will just hard reset after the update.

Its not from a backup. My 950xl was completely fresh and still has the issue.
