How do I manually turn on LTE on 950 XL?

Manually turn of LTE on 950 XL

Is it possible to manually toggle LTE on and off for the 950 XL on AT&T? The situation is my work building does not have wifi and has very poor LTE reception. So bad that being stuck without LTE on AT&T has been a revelation at work. If I cannot manually turn off LTE, I am considering not getting AT&T to fix my lack of LTE issue. Please let me know if this is possible.

Turning off LTE? Turning on airplane mode? I remember AT&T offers something to enhance signal, but as the price is not decent, I was not have a chance to try.

To be more specific, I mean manually turn off and on LTE and run on 4G. I don't mean airplane mode as I still want to connect to AT&T's network, just to be able to select LTE or not.

I don't have a 950XL to test yet but on my 830 running w10m on t-mobile I can do the following:

settings -> system -> phone -> Cellular & SIM (link) -> SIM Settings (link) -> Cellular network Highest connection speed (pulldown menu).

Ok. Thanks. Right now under Cellular Network and network selection all I have is a greyed out checkbox that's says automatic. At this point I can't change it.

You do it using the Field Test menu on the 920 by dialing ##3282# but it might be different on the 950/XL. IIRC, it might have been ##3282* or something like that. Anyway, on the 920 after the field test menu is up tap the 3-dot menu, select settings then change the network type from automatic to one of the other available ones.

I'm still waiting on my 950 XL. :unhappy:

I am stuck with same issue. Can't see Highest connection speed in my Lumia 950 xl. ##3282# shows up field test. but not sure how to fix this.
