Compatible fast chargers

I'd like to buy a second fast charger for the Lumia 950 XL. If I buy a USB-C cable and plug into a USB plug adapter will this work as a fast charger, or do I need to buy a special charger? And if so, has anyone discovered any that are compatible?

I am assuming that as long as the charger is 5V 2A, paired with the usb-c high speed cable (blue color on the inside part of the usb), it should do the fast charge.

both correct... 5V 3A and Qualcomm fast charge 2.0 compatible

Is the one that came with 950XL quick charging? It's 5V 3A but it there are no sign on it saying Qualcomm fast charge 2.0 compatible or anything like that.

i'll correct myself -the 950 and 950XL datasheet only mention "fast charge" - they do not mention Quick Charge...

So it is not QC 2.0 capable then? Just a normal charged with USB type C connector and higher amperage rating?

thats what it looks like... they may not have certified it to be Qualcomm fast charge 2.0 but may have designed it to work within the boundaries of it.
I will look at the charger that came with it again for any logos... later.

One nice thing about this power bank is that the charge port is USB-C, instead of micro USB. I think this model is the only power bank that has both QC 2.0 and is charged via USB-C.

Any wall chargers?

I really enjoy the Anker powerport chargers. They have a variety of options - 1, 2, and 3 slots that are compatible with Qualcomm's QuickCharge 2.0 or 3.0 standard. They are good at delivering high amps to each USB port even when multiple devices are drawing power. Note, of course, that the new Lumias almost certainly do not use the QuickCharge standard, and the marketing materials instead refer to USB-C's innate faster-charge-than-standard-USB ability.

Nevertheless, Anker makes quality gear, in my opinion, and I use its power port 2 QuickCharge 2.0 USB charger for a lot of my devices.
