Why is the data arrow always on?

Since the 26th of December i noticed that my Lumia 950 XL is draining lots of mobile/wifi data. I have reached my mobile data limit (1GB) for the first time and it's not normal.

I went to the data-sense option on settings and the "Settings" app had consumed 600mb's of my mobile data plafond.

I only have three apps running on background (Whatsapp, FB messenger and Viber) and have disabled the automatic app updates from the store app. Also i have the comments/diagnoses option to never/basic.

I can't seem to find what is causing this problem. It seems that it's downloading or uploading lots of stuff to somewhere. I have the latest windows 10 mobile firmware/software.

Have you tried rebooting the phone? Have you filed a Windows Feedback bug report and screenshot the usage?

SMS sync may be a cause. Or perhaps some other user sync (Settings/Accounts/Sync your settings). You could try turning off and see.

Messaging (it is using skype if you are logged in), SMS syncing, etc.

Also, turn off the option to use data connection if wifi signal is poor.
