Will the SD reader support UHSII rated cards?

Since the 950 and 950XL will support 4K video capture, a UHSII rated SD card will be required to capture video directly to the SD card.

SD cards come in various minimum write speed ratings. Class 1 is 1MB second, Class 10/UHS-I is 10MB a second, UHS-II is 30MB a second (4k video speed).

99% of SD card readers only support up to UHS-I rated microSD cards. The latest 4.0 revision readers are the one's that support UHS-II speeds. The UHS-II rated microSD cards themselves are actually new on the market (this year).

What does everyone think? Will 4K video capture only be an option on the internal storage, or will Microsoft support the latest UHS-II standard for their SD card reader? The latest UHS-II SD cards also offer faster read speeds which will benefit other use cases.

Bump.I too would like to know if the new flagships will support UHS II. I have been unable to find any definitive confirmation on the web.

According to the spec both the Snapdragon 808 and the 810 support "only" up to UHS-I and these are used in the 950/950 XL.

FWIW I haven't had any problem recording 4K video to SD card with my 1520.3 which was released 2 years ago.
