Can Windows Hello be completely disabled?

Serious question here. I have no use for the feature. I like to have my lock-screen lock after 15 minutes idle and then require a pin. Is this still possible? I think this is the only thing making me hesitant to buy a 950.

Yes, you can still just use the PIN.

You have to set up the iris scanner, as far as i understand it is not on by default.

Whether you choose to use the Iris scanner (Hello) or not you can still set your lockscreen time out to 30sec, 1min, 3 min, 5 min. You can also set the login requirement to Never or up to 15 minutes the same as before. You can also use a pin only, or hello, but even with hello on you can still just type the pin.

Windows Hello is an optional feature, not a required security measure. It's no different than choosing between a password, pin, or pattern unlock.
