A feature that I used to love on my Lumia 920 on Win8.1 was that I could just tap the screen in the camera app on the spot that I wanted the focus to be on and the camera would focus and automatically proceed to take the photo. On the new Lumia 950 camera, I now need to focus and then separately press either the physical camera button or the soft camera button on screen. Does anyone know if there is a way to snap the photo in a single step by tapping the screen like I could do with the Windows 8.1 camera?

I was never aware that you could focus and snap in a single tap. For me, in every Windows Phone I've owned, it has been focus and then snap.

In the original Microsoft Camera app in WP 8/8.1 you had the option to tap to focus and shoot.

I miss that feature too. Unfortunately I don't think there's a setting that enables it.

    Proshot still has that option.

Thanks. I will have to check out Proshot. Me thinks I may need to submit a UserVoice request to bring that functionality back.
