This is the first time I've seen this. I've just removed my Samsung Evo 32 to see if there's any improvement.

EDIT: Sent and received two text messages since I posted and my phone went from 91% to 89%. The phone lost the first 8% in 1-hour with no use.

I'm losing hope that MS will ever fix this.

After updating L950 to a .63 my battery became actually worse, for two days it was kinda good, specially on stand-by, did soft-reset and now it is like you said, percents just droping even without doing anything or anything in background.
Thinking on doing Firmware and OS reset.

Agree. It's OK for me as I'm an experience & loyal user. However, several friends already dumped theirs and back to iOS/Android. Spending money which equals to an iPhone 6S/Note 5 for such a beta device is unacceptable. It's ironic that Microsoft ran the 'Beta Test' Ads several years ago.

none of my friends would even consider switching to Windows phone hahaha

I've found that curtailing the use of Telegram Messenger on my phone has boosted battery life dramatically. That app drains like nothing else, giving me at least 12 extra hours of battery life.

Here is a screenshot of my new Lumia 950 with .29 Build, nothing disabled but have turned off apps running in the background that aren't really necessary. Battery doesn't seem to be too bad, wife's L830 has pretty much the same figures. Was 100% and 12 hrs later with use and non-use as well was down to 45%.

I have set Auto brightness to 25, cortana&hello off, glance always on.
usage in percent:
System: 27
Display: 63
wifi: 3
lte: 7
------
in use: 88
Background: 12

main apps:
whatsapp (always allowed): 28%
Facebook beta (allowed): 22
edge: 14
mail &.. (allowed) : 6
store (allowed): 6
6tag (allowed) 5
.......

Everything Kind of normal I think!?
would love to help u with the reason for my "good battery" :-O

btw. my battery app tells me the "actual usage":
when I havnt touched the phone for about an hour it says: 1.2 to 1.4 (percent per hour)
when I received some Messages, so the Screen and Speaker had to work it is about 2-2.5
when I unlocked the phone some times, had to read a mail, anwered on whatsapp or something it is about 3-5%
when I have a pause at work and look for News on twitter, Facebook, instagram, Forums,.. with Screen always on and LTE working nearly all the time it tells me about 18-20% (what means u could empty the battery that way in 5 hours).

I use windows phone insider. There's also a way to calibrate it so OEM battery and battery app coincide with each other.

I've noticed Outlook mail and calendar draw a lot of juice, almost 50-60%. Background usage is also quite a lot. It's normally around 60%. I'm trying to figure out a way to fix this.
