How to enable this... messaging app question

So, I changed my display resolution to 300X and stumbled upon this new feature (probably new to me)
I don't like looking at my screen at 300X, I prefer 350X since the text is a little big bigger (and the magnification doesn't effect all texts).
Anyhow, does anybody know how to enable this feature (the ability to switch between text messages from inside of a text message without having to hit the back button)?
Worst case... I will just live with my device at 300X.

It's a side effect of changing the text size. you may have noticed that if you change it even further, other layout changes happen in different apps. This is how universal apps adjust their layouts based on how much room they have.

You can't manually adjust the layout on an individual app basis.

Darn.. Thanks for the info.
I will have to submit this as a feature request. I would definitely sacrifice some of the screen space for this messaging ribbon. I love it. For now...I will live with small text and maybe even get used to it.
