So, I wanted to pull the trigger on a 950. I currently use a Note 5 with the Gear S2. My S2 will pair with an iphone (although limited functionality, but still solid), however it will NOT pair with a WIndows phone. I went to the Microsoft Store, factory reset it and tried to pair it. No go.
I want to pull the trigger on the 950, however I've really come to love the functionality of my S2. Besides the ability to reply to text messages (which has been used more often than I expected), I've answered some calls from the watch. Not GREAT, but useful if I can't get to my phone.
So, any idea what watches can currently pair and be used with a Windows phone (preferably Windows 10 mobile) besides the Band? I know there was a recent story that the api was being released to allow this type of pairing to start to happen. Just wondering if it's sooner rather than later. If later, I'll probably just hold out.
