Skype Stole my contacts

I opened my messages this morning and no names were associated with the phone numbers. It seems Skype stole all my contacts. How can I get my contacts back to normal? I don't want skype using any of the contacts I have under my outlook people account.

Try uninstalling Skype.

Yes I though the same thing and did that. I got my contacts back but now all my SMS threads are split. Any new texts are not part of the previous text threads.

Not sure if anything can be done about that. I had a similar problem on my Icon last year with Skype mangling contacts and I think the same thing happened with texts. They were all treated as if they were from new contacts.

@dfaris, do you have multiple name listings in your Contact App (ie: John Doe, listed twice)? If you do you may have to link them together to get your SMS conversations under one instance.
