Virus on lumia 950?

Has anyone else experienced a virus on a Windows 10 mobile device where you lost all the photos in your camera roll?
Tonight, my wife's lumia 950 seemed to blow up... As in she lost most of her apps including preinstalled windows apps and only 3 tiles left on stay screen. Soft reset did nothing. So had to factory reset and restore from backup. But then we basically saw photos from camera roll deleting before our eys and couldn't stop it. Must have been a virus!? Didn't think anybody would bother infecting w10m. Did not seem to affect any other folders. Has anyone else experienced this?

Because of the way WM works, viruses do not exist. There must be some other explanation. Were the photos saved on an SD card?

That's bizarre. I wonder if someone might have had access to the Microsoft account used on the phone.

It may be related to OneDrive and the settings therein. Check that OneDrive is allowed to show photos on the phone.
