First law of information security: There is no such thing as a secure system. What one programmer can secure, another can breach.

This is like Apple claiming that OSX doesn't have malware. Of course it didn't, why bother targeting <10% of the users. This has of course changed now that Macs are popular. Same case here, if/when WP gets market share worth talking about, there will be malware. Also, MS may want to fix their EAS-breaking SD card encryption issues before touting this for businesses.

Windows Phone 8 safer than Blackberry and iOS? Whoever wrote that article needs to do major homework!

You should be aware yourself. The new bb10 os isn't any more secure than anyone else anymore because they dropped BIS. This affects regular individuals using a new blackberry phone. On the business side of things if you want higher security from blackberry, you're going to have to subscribe and pay for BES.

From Rory O'Neil, VP of BlackBerry product and channel marketing:

"O?Neill explained that the BB10 smartphones will not come bundled with BIS nor support it. The only service to run on BlackBerry?s infrastructure will be BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) and some enterprise related applications."

I think you're mixing up what you read about older OS7 devices, which he said will continue to support it.

Trust me, nothing is 100% secure if people want to create malware. Let's say WP gets 60% market share... by the next day, there will be 1'000'000'000'000'000'000'000'000 new pieces of malware for it. ID theft is such a lucrative black market, that many many many people will want to take a slice of that pie. They patch the security holes causing it... by the next day the malware count has doubled and to add to that, the outdated malware will be patched up. But there will be enthusiasts that like creating malware just to troll people. That will be visible on WP too. They don't care where it hits, to them it's just fun and games. So I believe Windows Phone does have malware. As does BBOS (both pre- and post-10), iOS, Android, Symbian, et al. Ubuntu will suffer the same problem should it get decent market share. What can be the most secure thing in the world, can always be beaten by someone willing to put in the effort.
