Hotmail to Outlook change-Do my app licenses

So I'm going to be going from WP7 to WP8 in about a month and In the process I was going to make the total switch from Gmail to Outlook. Obviously I already have a Hotmail account for my WP7 and I reserved my email with Outlook when it first launched. Now, in my hotmail account settings, I have the option to change the @hotmail.com to @outlook, which seems preferable to migrating everything over to a new account. My question is, if anyone has ever done this, if I change the @hotmail to @outlook, to my app licenses stay with that account? I would assume they would, but you never know. Also, if something happens and I have to use the Outlook account, how would I transfer my app licenses? Thanks in advance for any help.

The only issue you have to face one you've changed the name of your account is having to reset your device to change the LiveID to the new one, but since you're switching phones in a bit, that shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, that's why I wanted to wait until I got a new device, since I hate resetting devices. Thanks!
