#KeepCortana - C'Mon Microsoft, this is a no-brainer

Keeping the name 'Cortana' for the new digital assistant is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Microsoft to seize on something they already have as their gateway to "cool".

It's gaining some steam, you should do your part.

First vote: Keep Cortana as the Name of the Personal Assistant

Then tweet @Microsoft and @WindowsPhone with the hashtag #KeepCortana

Actually, I disagree.

I wouldn't be mad if they stuck with the name. Ultimately it's a bit trivial. I didn't think "Google" was catchy at first and look at it now... Anyway, my point is that (as someone who never owned an Xbox and didn't play Halo) I had no idea what the heck Cortana was. While I can understand why some people might think so, it being a video game reference to a ****** riddled exclusive hardly strikes me as a "gateway to cool."

I just don't feel like this should be such a big deal. Siri is a weird name. Google Now is rather uninspired. I feel like Microsoft wins by default.
