I just got a Lumia 920 and I must say for the first time I don't feel the need to cover the polycarbonate exterior with a case. I almost always have a case on my phones.
Always use a case. It gives me a chance to put a nice kickstand on my phone. The "no case " people tend to end up posting in the "how do i fix my broken screen" section which can be entertaining however.
I have a 1020 and I use a case. It's my first Nokia phone and I don't feel like it's as sturdy as anything I've used before. Before this, I was always no case.
I have a few cases that I sometimes use depending on what I'm doing. Currently, no case is on my white 920. A screen protector is always on it.
Of the three cases, an official yellow Nokia cases that fits perfectly but has denim color bleed, a blue thin case that's nice, and a cheap almost full protection case that I use when in the elements.
I love the looks of Windows Phones without cases, but I always use one on my 1520, as well as my past 920, 520, 900, and HTC 8X. Nothing special...the clear, flexible S-Wave cases, mainly for grip and just a little added protection against short falls and bumps.
With all the, "where can I get my cracked screen replaced" or "it slipped out of my coat pocket and only fell about 3 feet" threads we have here, I am surprised a lot of people don't use a case.
No case on Lumia 620! If I drop it I can always change the cover! And I do not like holding the phone in a case. Only dropped it once until now! Knock on wood!
