Microsoft are endearing many fans and fostering new ones with their ongoing battle to protect its customers (all of us) against the ever encroaching governments. This is the latest and a shame, hope MS wins the appeal. Its ridiculous, every government and their agencies want access to everything all the time, its bad enough with Google scanning every single gmail sent or received without dodgy governments seeking to control everything.

BBC News - Microsoft ordered to hand over emails on Dublin server

The internet is freedom and democracy personified, without freedom we are slaves to corporations and governments wanting to 'persuade' us......NO!!

i think US governments want to control internet, while Microsoft is disagree with it, internet should has privacy law to prevent governments controlling the internet.
the reason that i strongly disagree governments took the internet because not ALL inside people are following the rules, some might took our privacy and use it. or even bad, someone has successfully hacked in to the governments server and took all our privacy. although this could happen to Microsoft but at least they will gonna done by themselves, if governments take it, they will cover this, because this will ashamed them due to low security firewall.
