It's a good step in the right direction. Both phones receive good praise and scores, especially since most trusted review sites tend to be a little biased against Windows Phones. They offer good value, design and specs(the processor of the 830 excluding), and offer something worth buying.
Microsoft needs to push a little bit harder to truly contend with Android and iOS with their hardware. There are plenty of people who read reviews like that and although these two phones are getting high scores they're still not quite as high as the best of Android(in the same class).

It should've been a Snapdragon 600 at least. Microsoft needs to price their mobiles more aggressively, they can't compete with Android phones at the same price range because so few are willing to pay that much for a Windows Phone.
If they had put a Snapdragon 600 into the Lumia 830 at the same price, it would've done much better in reviews(9 out of 10) and sell way better.

I believe 600 is not available anymore.
