There's a new vulnerability affecting Android & Apple devices, and 'some' Windows & Blackberry devices.

Here's the article - FREAK show: Apple and Android SSL WIDE OPEN to snoopers ? The Register

You can test your devices at https://freakattack.com.

My Windows 8.1 PC running IE11 & FF (latest) is fine.
My Windows Phone 8.1.1 is also safe.

However my iPad Air 2 is vulnerable, as is all my fianc's equipment! All Apple. Had to laugh...

Test it on the website above, and post your findings here...

Says Win 10 TP is vulnerable. I wonder about the phone version. I assume so, but...

You would think that MS would have taken the security stack and placed it "as is" into IE on Win10?!?!
Hopefully MS will patch this in their next release.

OK strange, wonder if there's a different stack running between the Desktop & Phone versions? Unlikely. Or maybe The Register got it wrong.
    Can't tell as I haven't 'upgraded' to Win10 yet.

@Blacklac: What browser were you using? Apparently not IE. Were you using a Chrome based browser? That would definitely cause an issue. IE with Windows 10 should be safe, as it is the same one with 8.1. I've downgraded back to 8.1, so can't check at the moment.

I don't have Win10 on my PC, the article claimed Win 10 TP was vulnerable. Based on user feedback.

Ah, now I see it. Missed that on the first read. Well, hopefully Spartan won't be an issue.

    read the website:

Update (Mar. 5): Further testing confirms that far more browsers are susceptible to the FREAK attack than originally believed. The following browsers appear to be vulnerable:
Internet Explorer (our test currently gives incorrect results for IE 11; it is vulnerable, and we are working to fix this)
Chrome on Mac OS and Android
Safari on Mac OS and iOS
    Blackberry Browser
Opera on Mac OS and Linux

Oops, looks like I spoke too earlier, tried again on both Win8.1 PC & Phone, and both are now vulnerable!

Hopefully MS gets a quick update out for both, maybe they'll roll-out GDR2 quickly with this fix?

the last update i read was "the update is reporting incorrectly"

    which means, unreliable results.

I checked on the lumia 635, and it was vulnerable;. I am uncertain if this is accurate or not. Nothing to do but wait for an update, no big deal.
