Free Skype QIK Service to Android and iOS ONLY

I'm a bit surprised that this hasn't hit the news here on WindowsCentral yet...

Smart, a telephone company in the Philippines, offers free Skype QIK access to all it's Andorid and iOS subscribers, leaving its WindowsPhone users in the dark. What's ironic here is that Skype (Skype Qik) is owned by Microsoft and that Windows Phones are also being offered by Smart to its subscribers.

The App is free... What Smart must be offering is that data used by Qik is not counted toward your cap.

I wish it were. But it's Microsoft Philippines who launched it on Smart's network - no less then MS's Philippines General Manager lead the announcement.. Did you read Microsoft Philippines tweets why Windows Phone users were left out of the promo? I suggest you do...

As a subsidy of Microsoft, I doubt this promotion even crossed Nadella's desk.

Anything being given free is being given by Smart.
