You can now disable Automatic App Updates in Windows 10

Many users were irritated that they could not disable automatic store apps in Windows 10 Home. The setting was grayed out and available only on the Pro, Enterprise, and Education versions.

With yesterdays Windows Updates, there was a new update to the store that now allows you to disable these automatic store app updates. It is found in the KB3081448 cumulative update. With this update installed, the switch that was formerly grayed out (see above photo) is now available to use.

This is good news for many Windows 10 Home users.

Okay, if I'd known Windows Central was going to do an article an hour later and not give me any credit for being first, I wouldn't have bothered writing this. :eck:

Life in the fast lane, I suppose.
