Pre-ordered a Surface 2 Pro today :)

Was wondering thru JBHiFi today and got chatted to one of the guys there about the new Surface 2 Pro.
Before I knew it I had my name down as a pre-order!
The 256/8Gb model.
Now just gotta find the dosh - LOL

Not sure how to put emoticon for tongue sticking out in envy but consider it done. I'm so envious. I have RT 1 and it's OK but really want Pro 2.

Something to consider - once the 2 Pro is out; what the prices of the 1 Pro take a dive.
Or; go look at one of the Atom-based tablets. My VivtoTab has been fantastic.

There's a ton of choices coming out for sure, but I prefer MS products. So well built and supported.

True - but in saying that; ive been more than happy with my Atom-powered VivoTab. And I dont think it will be long until the next generation of the 'middle ground' Atom tablets appear. I've quite impressed how well performing for basic stuff the little Atom has been, even with just 2Gb or ram.

You got the version I would get. My problem is that my 2 year old Samsung series 7 slate, which I got with Windows 7 and installed the win 8 dev preview on, is still working just fine. I can't justify the new one even though I really want it.

I picked up my Asus for a good price; so in on-selling it - i wont loose anything
