The nib included with my pen broke the other day. It developed a crack, but luckily the end didn't break completely and I was able to pull it out.
Getting replacements dispatched was pretty easy through Microsoft support, but it's a shame they don't included a spare with the pen itself. The support rep said they are sending three and they'll take 5-8 business days to arrive. I'd highly suggest other users request some advance spares to avoid pen downtime(aka N-trig withdrawal). They are free while under warranty, not sure if there's a cost after.
