I know Chrome gets a lot of criticism here and elsewhere, but for many of us, it works fine, and provides some benefits.

Anyway, perhaps everybody but me was aware of this, but I just discovered that I can swipe the screen to the right to go 'backward' to the previous page, or swipe left to go 'forward.' Since the forward/backward icons are fairly small, this is a lot easier to do.

For what it's worth.

I agree, Chrome works pretty well and I too was surprised at some of the touch controls that are available. I find that Chrome is more stable and seems to handle complex websites better than IE. But IE is definitely faster (in my experience) and takes up less memory. I use both depending on what sites I am browsing.

I like chorme better for all those reasons and the synchronization between devices. I really wish they would up the game a little with a more touch friendly interface in the Metro side of things.
