Window 10 update failed..what do I do next?

Window 10 update failed...

There was a major update to my W10 on my Surface 3 yesterday. (My laptop got it the day before.) But the thing froze and stayed at 43% for several hours (Like 8 or 9 before I came home) So I rebooted it. It restored to previous version. But now it won't update again. Is there a way to force it to update, or do I have to wait till the next one?

I had to wait a few days before my November update showed again. But, when I tried again it got stuck and failed again, too... Is there a way to make the update go through? Is it a hard drive space issue? (35gb free)

Did you have an SD Card in the Surface 3, if so then that's why the install stopped?

I do have a micro SD installed. Is that why it stops installation on the installing features and drivers step?

Well, I had read the same question on answers.microsoft.com And then I also read it here, so I removed the SD card and it is downloading it again. Lets see if it follows through to the end....

Yes, but it seems to stop at different percentages for different people, it stopped at 40% for me.

Just so you all know, it did go all the way when I removed the SD card..
