Microsoft Edge and Chrome fetching data

Is there a way to speed up web browsing with the Surface 3 ?
Both Edge and Chrome take a while to fetch data and just sit there thinking about it (Chrome also has the downside that it stutters when scrolling).

Edge is better than Chrome, but still isnt instant.
Are there any tweaks that I can carry out to improve things - my internet is working as expected and other devices work fine.
Im using Avast antivirus which im presuming may slow things down a bit - are there any antivirus offerings that would be more suited to the Surface ?

The same article I linked for you in the other thread you started might help with this as well. At least two other posters said that the power management settings improved their performance quite a bit.

However there may be an issue with your wireless router or the driver of the wireless card in the tablet. I saw it mentioned either here or in the Surface reddit.

Problem with the surface 3 it has no high perfomance mode. This should help you creating one. But hopefully you are not afraid to make some registry edits.
