Agreed. Oddly enough, most of us here (I think) love the hinge. I know I think the hinge is one of the best design attributes.

That said, he doesn't use the dock at all. So far in my usage, it's the dock that is giving me the most headaches. (I'm trying to drive two 60 Hz 4K displays with the dock, and it's not looking promising. It also periodically flips out and keeps powering up and down the attached USB devices; as if the dock itself was in a weird power cycling spasm.)

Yes, it does work with the dock. It doesn't seem to improve the monitor situation some have run into though. I have tried it. Well, not since today's firmware update.
