Maybe. After a couple of years it isn't as fast as it seemed when first released. I had one and had to replace it under warranty about 11 months in when it froze unrecoverably during a system update. I upgraded for a hundred bucks more to the the Power Base version of the same thing. That was several months ago and it is still working fine.

If the one you are looking at has never had any problems and shows no signs of flakiness, maybe it's a reasonable purchase. But if it's an early production unit where so many had problems, maybe it just hasn't been run hard enough to fail. Since it would be out of warranty to you, maybe it's not worth the asking price.

If I were looking at that deal, I would have to ask myself how lucky I felt.
