1st Gen vs 2nd Gen dGPU. Worth the difference? $$

Looking at the original SB vs performance base.

Is the GPU worth the $400-500 difference?

I really don't do heavy video editing, I do occasional steam gaming of nba2k that's about it. I really don't have any inclination to try mixed reality as of now.. so I am debating on which way to go here.

You might notice that the 965m IS a much better card. Ideally I would prefer to play at 1080p but, for that, you'd be looking for a Surface Book 2 15" with a 1060. All in all the first Surface book's nvidia card isn't really that much to write home about (I have that model).

Is it worth and extra $400/$500? Only you can answer that. I would suggest that you wait until the reviews hit for the Surface Book 2 with the 1050.
