Surface Book (1st Gen) SSD Upgrade

So my Book is out of warranty and ive been thinking about upgrading the solid state to a 1tb or 2tb. Does anyone know specifically what type of ssd is used? That way i can find a replacement. i've been looking at the Samsung M.2's but not sure if it will work or not.

The Surface Book is notoroiously hard to upgrade. So, even though you are out of warranty, doing this yourself may lead to be more serious problems.
