One is a 15 tdp processor, the other is 6 tdp so that it can get decent battery in the form factor.
They both have the same number of cores and threads, and the base frequency of the Pentium gold is .3 ghz slower, and it doesn't have any boost (which is 2.9 ghz for the i5). The only obvious thing that's a bit better is the GPU.
Looking at the software requirements the CPU requirements don't appear to be very high, but it says it needs 4gb of ram, which potentially means it needs 8 for comfortable performance.
Can't say I have real world experience though.
