So, I searched for the closest Microsoft store near me (I didn't pre-order) and one is opening up 70 miles from my house. There are a bunch opening, called Holiday stores (obviously for the shopping season). Anyway, it says the store opens Friday the 26th. Do you think they will have the Surface tablet in stock? I'm considering being there when they open to see if I can pick one up. And do you think there will be a line?
Guess I'll will take a trip to the store this week, even though it's not open yet. Apparently someone will be there handing out passes and answering questions.
So I had a friend of mine check out the Holiday store for me today because I'm 80 miles away from it. He picked me up a reservation for a 32GB model. I didn't get the touch/type cover because I'm undecided on which one I want, so hopefully they don't run out. I'm #24. He said they had about 200 of them stacked up there, so availability seems pretty good.
