Surface RT MicroSD Disappearing

For some reason my MicroSD drive keeps disappearing.
If I open the kick stand and touch the card it will come back.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

Are you sure it's correctly inserted? Did it go all the way in?

As far as I know...
It's spring-loaded, so you know it's set.
I don't have to remove it and re-insert it.
Just a touch will usually bring it back.

Is there another device you can test the SD card in?

It could be a defective card.

I guess it could be...
I used it for a good amount of time in my old Windows Mobile phone before my 8x.

SD cards can/will go bad at random, and often the worst, times possible.

Yup I had this happen and couldn't get help and not many can reproduce it.... don't waste your time and get annoyed just take it back. I took mine in and within a minute they replaced it for me so they must know that some units have this problem. The new unit is great!

Obviously try a different card but if it is the same as mine was it won't matter what card you use it will just randomly drop out and the slightest touch or closing the back will disconnect it

As I have learned, microsd is no where near a stable reliable product yet.

Mine started doing that at one point. Reformatted as NTFS (rather than whatever it was previously formatted as) and it's been fine since.
