Hairline Crack Suddeny Appears On Surface Pro

I woke up to my Surface with a small but noticeable hairline crack in the middle of the screen. I REALLY take care of this thing and I've never dropped it, ever. I handle with care. Any reason why this would appear? And could that perhaps be repaired by warranty?

Hardly ever dropped it? You could have weakened the screen and when you charged it or it got hot the screen would have cracked. Happens sometimes

It has gotten hot...once, it didn't go to sleep and a few hours later, I went to grab it and it was very hot and battery was almost drained...
