HELP! I upgraded to RT 8.1 and now I can't access my app list

I updated to RT 8.1 a couple of weeks ago but honestly haven't messed with my Surface much since.

Today, I finally installed the new facebook app, and that's when I realized I can't pin any tiles to my home screen because the arrow that allows me to access All Apps is missing. I've tried swiping up from the bottom, but the only option I get is customize.

Is this a known issue? I can search the tablet and find facebook to launch it, but I have no way to pin it.

Lol, you don't swipe from the edge, just swipe up.

Huh? I never said I swiped from the edge. I DID swipe from the bottom. Please re-read my post.

Attach touch cover, go to start screen move the cursor around on the start screen a bit look at the bottom left there should be an arrow pointing downwards click it

Don't swipe from the bottom, start at the middle of the screen and swipe up. (Not below the actual screen.)

This, and you can pin apps when searched for from the charms bar.
