the integrated mail app has been acting up for a few days on both my Windows 8.1 machines (Surface2 and a normal Desktop PC). I always had my @live-account set to push arriving emails and it always worked like a charm i.e. the mails arrived about a second after they were sent...
A few days ago I noticed that my Surface doesn't display the mail count on the lockscreen anymore. I started testing by sending mails to my own account and then I realized that the Desktop PC isn't working correctly either. Mails aren't pushed anymore, instead I have to manually sync (this goes for the Desktop PC). On the Surface the mails arrive as soon as I wake it up from connected standby (i.e. I push the power button and no mail count or notification is displayed. Wait like half a second and it pops up. Also, when the Surface is turned on while I should receive a mail, it won't receive it. But when I turn it off and on again, the mail arrives...WHAT THE HECK!!??).
To cut a long story short: This used to work until a few days ago and I double checked to make sure that all Settings are correct (notifications, lockscreen etc.) even though I am sure I never changed them in the first place. Has anyone else run into this kind of behaviour and maybe knows a fix?

PS: I hope this isn't too confusing to read. I'm not a native speaker and I had trouble summarizing what I did to make sure this really is a bug and not just my head haha.
PPS: FWIW, the live account still pushes perfectly to my Lumia 920 so it's no server problem I guess...
