Hello, have been saving money for long time to get the Surface 3 to help me success in my medical studies, one thing I didn't take in mind is the apps i'll gonna miss :(
Surface has the best HD&SW, except for apps, so is it possible to dual boot?

    Thank you!

It's probably possibly, but likely to be very painful in terms of getting it to work successfully.

I'd buy a cheap Android tablet and then sell it when you don't need it any more.

I would guess you would have to run from SD card. When Tesco released their Hudl 2 we had plans in place to dual boot it, after all it was identical in every way, and made by pegatron ( can never remember names!). It ran an intel quad core processor with 2 gig ram. The whole board came straight from the same manufacturer. So it was more than capable. When we all asked Tesco to please unlock boot loader, for dev purposes, we were all refused point blank. Now they have dropped it and still won't release the correct signatures etc....lets see what happens. You can guarantee that someone on XDA is waiting for the release!

AmiDuOs works well for many of us. I have it and like it. Runs Android just fine.

Do you have the 2gb or 4 GB version? I have the 2 GB and its way to slow for me even with virtualization enabled.

I have the 4gb version. AmiDuOs is a bit slow to start up, but one it's booted, it seems pretty fast overall. No major problems.

I guess it's just too much for the 2 GB version

I don't know if this makes a difference, but I bought my S3 a while back, with Windows 8.1, and haven't, for various reasons, upgraded to Windows 10. But on 8.1, performance is fine.

I have a 2gb. Initially it is slow loading up but performance is just fine for playing games once loaded. I played the Sims 3, Angry Birds 2, Double U Casino and Broken Sword 5 with no issues.

You are using amiduos on the 2gb model? It runs horribly slow on my 2 GB surface 3. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I would love to ditch my tab s2 and have the surface 3 as my only device.
