Surface 3 replacement digitizer?

Surface 3 replacement digitizer

Hi
I cracked my Surface 3 screen and have purchased a replacement screen and digitizer, however I forgot to note how and where the flexible cable on the back of the digitizer plugs into the tablet.

It sounds a silly question but I think it is possible to force the end of the connection into a spot it might not go
