Okay, I'm firmly in the Surface Pro camp.

But the new Surface Laptop does look pretty slick in both pictures and in person. I read about it in a couple articles but most articles didn't talk about it, but it's so easy to open the machine with one hand! That's pretty rare for laptops. I've owned the Acer S7 and the Dell XPS 13 and neither can really be opened with one hand. You end up holding the bottom lip with one hand and the other hand pries it open.

I don't know how they do it. The top and bottom stay together well like a typical laptop but very little force is required to open it, and with one hand to boot.

The one hand lift is a very welcomed feature which all expensive laptops should honestly have as standard. Its just a small detail that makes use that much easier.
