Damn, I wish I went, How was it?

It was pretty cool. I got a $25 gift card. One lucky guy got a $500 one. One interesting new tidbit was that the new touch cover supports some cool gestures. One of them is cursor movement with two fingers anywhere on the keyboard, so you don't have to touch the screen.

On a side note, some guy from geekwire interviewed me. Quite cool.

One thing I forgot to mention. While they allowed people to play with the surface's, I overheard panos say that they have had more preorders than expected.
