Aaaagg! That's what I wanted to do. Oh well. Guess I have to wait till I receive mine end of October.

I've got my own series of questions I've garnered, and I'm saving them for my local Store's even on the 17th. Very excited, but thanks for the offer. I'll check back and see if you could find answers to some of my questions, though. I don't want to overwhelm Panos with too many questions. ^_^

EDIT: Nevermind, just realized you already made your visit. But still, much appreciated.

How unfortunate, shame you had to miss him. :(

Also, off topic, but I really love your profile pic, very nice and it's how I've come to recognize you on these here forums. ;)

For the lap thing, I think that they might let me do it at my store, they are VERY lax about people moving around the surfaces. I'll add the info when I return.

They didn't want me to because it had a password on it, so if I turned it off, they didn't want to retype in the password.
    Thank you.

I believe it's currently rated at somewhere between 7 and 8 hours, up to 10 if you use a Power Cover.

Oh yeah, I saw those too. But I paid more attention to the pro 2 and 2.

Those things are neat. My local Microsoft Store made a wrench out of one, it actually worked! However, I'm already going broke with my upcoming purchase of a Surface Pro 2, so I can't afford any $2,100 printers for the time being. ^_^

Ok so I'm at the MS store, and it is actually very nice to type on your lap, and the speakers are defenently an improvement

How stable is it? Is it wobbly, or do you feel you could comfortably use this in your lap for long periods of time, without worry of it falling over? How do the new Touch/Type Covers work when being used in your lap?

It was pretty stable, almost like a laptop, but just a little more wobbly, because of the less Surface surface area, and the new covers work just like the old ones in the lap.

Wish I was able to test it out, but I'm glad you were able to. Thanks.

By chance, did you see the purple type cover? Is it nice? I ordered it, and feel I might regret it and should wait for cyan.
