4200U vs 4300U

Since MS are struggling to send me a Pro 2 with a 4300U in it, and I can not seem to find one at a pyhsical store, is it worth me just sucking it up and sticking with the 4200U?

Is there much real world performance difference?

I thought about an SP3, but for my uses it does not give me ?200ish worth of betterness which is not a good word lol

As only paid ?569 for a 128Gb SP2 Pro with the same spec being ?849 at current pricing its just not worth the jump.

I bought a surface pro 2 128gb in pc world on Thursday and that was a 4300.

Tried PC world they only had the old 4200U, might have a ring round some of the other stores see what I can find.

Well today was an eye-opener on how ******* dumb I have been lol

Went to my local PCW in Peterborough looked at teh batch was 1406 said was wrong one as my head only looked at the last two digits did not realise at the time, repeated the same at Grantham, then on way to Nottingham realised what I had done, swore at myself, but since was almost there went there, got it, then spent money at Warhammer world lol

So all in all I was a dumb *** lol

That's really poor, would have thought all their products now would be the latest iterations. I would buy one from them if I was assured if was the 4300u model.

i would guess that when they made the models with the 4300U, any with the 4200U were put away for warranty replacements. so now that they're just clearing out SP2 inventory, the 4200U systems are coming out now.

I'm not sure if this will come true, but SP2 with 4300U would be upgrade to TPM 2.0 and can enable Connected Standby in the future firmware update....

I think MS suddenly upgrade their SP2 early this year to 4300U (same CPU with SP3) would have some purpose for the future.
They could keep 4200U on SP2 and then used 4300U to promo SP3 though.
