Mouse Gets Stuck?

Had this problem the last few times with the ole Surface. Apparently mouse gets in a rut where it starts selecting multiple items at once. Im using the Type Cover 2 and it's not a key sticking -- in fact I can hammer the buttons or remove the keyboard to no avail.

Tried the old Shift-ESC trick, no luck. Trying to see if anyone else has had this problem.

These Surfaces have a strange bit of issues.

Hit and release Shift Ctrl and Alt keys separately.
If you open the on screen keyboard, you should see no keys in colors white, indicating they are being pressed.

If that does not help, then it could be the mouse. Try a different mouse.
