How is the core m3 Surface Pro as a secondary PC?

Hello all,

So I read/watched some reviews about this device, and overall it seems the core m3 model has some mixed opinions. The price point is the main reason I am considering this laptop, but how does it do in the following circumstances:

- Basic web browsing (1-3 tabs at most)
[And how is it for Google Docs and Slides? My Surface 3 (non-pro) performs poorly with both]
- Using Microsoft Office (especially OneNote with the Surface Pen)
- Watching Netflix and YouTube in HD

I know there are other threads but I need to feel more confident about my decision of whether to buy the m3 or the i5. Thanks in advance.

The Core M SP5 is in another league when compared to the Surface 3.

Heck I've been using an i3 SP3 for the last few weeks with no issues before changing to a Surface Book.

The M3 should be fine for all the items you have listed above. This surface is worlds better the the Surface 3... really it is a good upgrade over all the surface lines to date.

Not to say the M3 would be an upgrade to the SP4 i7 in performance, but if you are looking for better batter this thing is a champ.

We have two m3s and an i5 in my family and no noticeable difference in performance with moderate browsing or Office-ying.
