Can anyone with a SP3 (Daniel, Sam? ) meassure the vertical screen size?
Without the borders. So actual vertical viewable screen size.

That would make me able to compare it to my 16:9 laptop and Surface 2 screens I have now.

Thanks in advance.

Math could be your friend. You have the diagonal of 12" and you know that one side is 16x and the other side is 9x .. Another Hint .. Pythagoras

Well - this does not work because it is a 16x9 and 12 Inch screen. and 16:9 is not 3:2 :O

I was giving it because it's a common comparison.

There are a lot of 16:9 13.3" laptops out there today that are going to get compared to the 3:2 12" Surface Pro 3. As far as I'm aware, there are no other (popular) windows based 3:2 laptops/tablets out there, so having it compare to a 13.3 3:2 screen would be pretty much useless.

While this includes the bezel around the screen, the dimensions of the Surface Pro 3 are:
Dimensions: 7.93 in x 11.5 in x 0.36 in (20.14 cm x 29.21 cm x 0.91 cm)
Weight: 1.76 lbs

That is taken directly from the specs page linked on the Surface blog

Looking at the pics online, I'd say the bezel is about 20mm on the side edges and 15mm on the top and bottom
(in landscape mode)
That would make the vertical screen height around 17.14cm and the width about 25.21cm
Considering 17.14 times 1.5 (making it 3:2) is 25.71, that's about 5mm out so pretty close.
