Why is my SP3 display so splotchy and crappy looking?

I noticed when I'm watching movies or looking at pictures it looks like the display is set to something other than 32 bit color. I can't see a way to change that, but I thought Windows 8.1 defaulted to 32 bit.

You screen capture looks fine to me.

I might suggest that you take a picture with a camera, so we can see what you see. You might have a bad display.
