Hi all, I'm deciding which surface pro to buy. The most I will need out of the machine will be to run GoPro qediting and cad software. I need to know if the i3 powered surface pro 3 would be powerful enough to do this.

I can say it'll do basic CAD and basic video editing, but it really depends on complexity and how much you mind waiting

I patched together a 10 minutes video from 720p source material (and ate dinner while it was working) and did one or two CAD components on a Core 2 Duo and integrated graphics without too much fuss, but I'm not sure it's best if you want it to be speedy.

Probably'll want more than 4 GB of RAM too.
