Surface Pro 3 Unit Demo

Hello.

I took possession of a SurfacePro3 previously used by another user.
I have registered the product on my account and I saw that the warranty expires in October 2017, but I have seen that the unit is a demo unit.

Are there any troubles with such units, such as software limitations or warranty troubles?

You would have to ask your friend to find out where he/she got it from and then ask that store for the information

I got a Surface 3 PRO replacement unit (apparently you bought a used device?) and it was refurbished. No problems till now and the warranty extends till 2018. Mine however did have Windows 8.1 so I deleted all partitions and did a complete fresh installation with 14393. It has been working really great since.

You should register it and all should be OK.
