SP4 - Music stops when screen turns off

Hello,

I have noticed that, for example, when I am playing music through Spotify, it stops when the screen turns off. Not completely sure this is normal behaviour as this should happen only when the Surface goes in sleep mode.

Any idea how this can be fixed (in Power settings maybe)?

I had the same issues. Unfortunately after many many hours of looking I eventually did a fresh install of windows 10 through usb. That seemed to fix it. Sorry for your troubles

Well, I think I just fixed it.

As the picture shows, just change both settings to "Allow the computer to enter Away Mode". Now the screen turns off without stopping media play.

The problem isn't the screen, but trying to enter Sleep with apps or W32 programs which are not aware of Connected Standby.

The Away mode basically stops the SP4 entering Sleep, it's been around since XP
