I'm thinking of getting a surface pro (2017) in the Black Friday sales however not sure if it will be powerful enough for my needs.

I can only really afford the M3 version but don't know if it's worth it compared to an actual laptop with a better processor for similar price?

I want to be using Microsoft office suite and dealing with spreadsheets and databases but other than that pretty general things. Do you think the m3 version will be fit for purpose?

Or should I get a more traditional laptop (already have an iPad as a tablet)?
